Hats!

The last few days have been very stormy here in Western Washington. Where I live, we've had over 2.5" (63.5mm) of rain and it's still raining ... and windy .... and cold! Looking at this with a "glass half full" attitude, it's also good knitting weather. And good hat wearing weather, too.

The newest pattern off the needles is Caprea. Knit with sport weight wool or alpaca yarn, it's light, stretchy and warm. The willow buds are worked over 5 rounds of pattern rather than your typical bobble which is completed all in one round. I've included a tutorial on how to make these cute buds in the pattern.

The blue hat is knit in Quince & Co. Chickadee yarn, colour Bird's Egg.

The red hat is knit in Frog Tree Sport Melange Alpaca yarn, in colour 917 (a red-orange).

Happy Knitting!
